About Me

With me as your counsellor or supervisor, you get care, acceptance, experience and a commitment to working hard to support you. Whatever you’re feeling, whatever feels most painful or challenging, that can be our priority.

Whilst my counselling and supervision approach is person-centred - putting you at the heart of everything we work on together - I pride myself on being accepting and patient with all of my clients and supervisees.

Coming for counselling can be hard, it can hurt - and I respect and acknowledge that. I am always humbled working with people to support them in changing things; it reminds me that we are all doing our best, in our interactions and in our lives. It reminds me that we all hurt the same, regardless of anything else.

People who know me, tell me I am encouraging, supportive and relentlessly optimistic. I am undoubtedly a glass half-full kind of person and try to learn from all my experiences - and I see them as that, I try not to label them as 'good' or 'bad', 'positive' or 'negative', they just are. Yes, they can hurt, they can confuse, though I feel we can learn and grow from them. That is what I believe, but you don't have to feel the same to work with me, I just wanted to share a bit about me on here, so you get a sense of who I am.
